For the Extra Mile Institute
How GSCG works, and where you can plug in
This is our structure and our rhythm for Fall 2026, so you can see who you would be walking into and where curriculum could attach. Everything below is generated from the data we run the organization on, so it stays accurate as the semester moves.
The two subsets for the pilot
We narrowed the pilot to two groups, because they meet on different rhythms and they need different things from you.
Leadership
The people who set direction and carry the culture.
Managing Director
monthly, weekly
The Managing Director guides the strategic direction and overall operations of GSCG, ensuring the organization moves toward its vision while maintaining operational excellence. The role keeps a pulse on the entire organization, launches and oversees strategic initiatives, manages operational challenges, and leads the director team through collaborative decision-making to achieve GSCG's mission and long-term goals.
Director
biweekly
Directors are strategic leaders who ensure GSCG moves toward its vision and goals while maintaining operational excellence. They oversee assigned initiatives and projects, manage their team of associates and project managers, and collaborate with fellow directors. The role balances day-to-day project oversight with strategic thinking to drive organizational growth and impact.
Project teams
A project manager and consultants delivering for one client.
Project Manager
weekly
The Project Manager leads each client project to successful completion of its key objective , ensuring research stays on track, monitoring team progress, and keeping the project aligned with GSCG's mission and client expectations. The PM guides their consultant team, sets direction for research and action items, and is the primary point of contact for the client throughout the project lifecycle.
Consultant
weekly
The Consultant completes the foundational work on client projects , contributing to weekly research and action items, collaborating with team members, and developing final deliverables. Consultants compile research, share findings with their team, work collaboratively with fellow consultants and their Project Manager, and contribute to creating and delivering the final presentation to the client.
The semester at a glance
Ticks below the line are project team meetings. Ticks above the line are leadership meetings. Project teams only start meeting once projects kick off, which is why the lower half begins later than the upper half.
Meeting cadence
Pulled from the role task templates, not hand written.

Where curriculum could attach
The format we discussed, a short video watched beforehand and then individual reflection opening a meeting, fits either rhythm without adding a meeting to anyone's calendar. Leadership meets weekly all semester, so it can carry a longer arc. Project teams meet weekly from kickoff, which is a tighter window but a more intense one, because that is when the real work and the real pressure are happening.
Kickoff is the natural place to introduce the programming to everyone at once, and the culture survey would give us a baseline before any of it starts.
